I tried all the official solutions and also solutions offered by other users, but so far nothing is working. WoW and WoW Classic updates are just permanently stuck on Initializing.
What ISP/region? Did you follow the troubleshooting steps Blizzard has in their support documentation? Some players skip steps or don’t complete them, which causes the problem to persist.
Same issue here, and I have tried all the suggested fixes. Support team have just pointed to same resources. Initialisation makes a small amount of progress, but then just freezes.
UPDATE - I found a answer on Reddit - after much install/uninstall and other guidance which proved to be no use, I found that simply changing the installation folder seems to have done the trick - game is now downloading. Hope this is some use.
