Have worked through all the suggestions that I could find. So far the installation gets to 0% and cycles through getting up to Initializing (2145581/2145581). Just encase it was anything to do with security all the related folders have everyone full control.

I have the exact same problem. None of these threads have helped. I just wanna play the new expansion.

Also having the exact same issue. Worked through multiple fixes like OP with no change. Pretty disappointing after coming back to WoW after a long time.

Same thing here, now also includes Wrath Classic though I did nothing to initiate that either. 2 solid days now of not being to do anything.

I’m having the same issue. Tried everything in previous forums and no luck.

I figured out a solution. Pause the update/download. Shut down the launcher. Open task manager. Agent for the downloader will likely still be running. Force quit. Re open launcher. Un pause the the download.
I just fixed mine by opening battle.net setting and under the downloads tab I unclicked “Limit Download Bandwidth” it was at 100kb/s for prerelease content and bam the install stopped looping
