Hello Blizzard Team and Community,
I’m sorry to post this here, but I can’t access the Customer Support forum to create a topic—so I’m trying here in the hopes that someone from the Blizzard team or a kind moderator might be able to assist or direct me.
My WoW account (inevitable#21679) was permanently banned recently for “exploitative activity / cheat programs.” I have already submitted a ticket and received a final response stating that the penalty will not be overturned.
However, I respectfully believe this is a false detection. I’ve been playing World of Warcraft for over 6 years with more than 10,000 achievement points. I’ve never used any hacks, bots, or third-party programs that would violate the EULA. I truly love this game and would never risk my account.
I’m kindly asking for a manual review by a Game Master if at all possible. If there was any background program or misunderstanding, I’d be happy to explain and cooperate fully.
I understand the support team is busy, but this account means a lot to me and I genuinely believe this action was taken in error.
Thank you very much for reading this. I’d be extremely grateful if this post could be moved to the right section or brought to the attention of someone who can take another look.
Best regards,
inevitable#21679
I am sorry but there are no GMs on the forums, and this forum is for the Blizzard Arcade games.
The ONLY way to appeal an account action is via ticket. You can appeal until they tell you that your Bnet account is at risk for GM harassment. Be polite, and only submit one ticket at a time.
For the record, GMs have nothing to do with the Anti-Cheat penalties. That is the Hacks team who does that.
do you have anything to do with the mass reporting in AV youre doing nothing about ? you’ve removed forums etc… restore peeoples accounts please. this is ridiculous
MVPs are other players, not Blizzard staff. MVPs do not speak for, or represent, Blizzard.
They have zero forum moderation power either.
The Moderators are Blizzard staff who follow the Code of Conduct - which does not allow discussion of account actions. The only place they even sort of allow that is the WoW Customer Support forum. It is an Information Desk to help folks navigate the support system, explain policies, and explain account services.
So no, there is nothing I can do about anything on the forums or in game. I really am just another player.
The ONLY means you have to contest an account action is via ticket.
lol open a ticket when you are suspended ? just to get a bot auto response. blizzard monitors these threads as well
I promise you, the game developers do not review these. The Hacks team never comes here. The GMs don’t touch the forums.
The folks who come to the forums are:
- Community Managers who collect feedback for developers. In this case they collect feedback for the Arcade collection. NOBODY from the WoW team will see what you post here.
- Forum Moderator. They will remove posts that violate the forum rules, such as discussing account actions, spamming, etc.
You can read the rules here
You will get a template reply. Usually one of the following options:
- Upheld
- Overturned with an appology for a false positive
- Penalty reduced (usually if they realize it is not JUST an exploitive account)
- Escalated to a specialist.
The only way to do anything, at all, about an account penalty is the ticket system. Nothing you post here will matter.
Edit - arguing with me won’t help you. I am just another player. I can only share information with you, even if you don’t like the info that exists.
understood but quit sending auto replies and fix the issue you responding shows Blizzard is very aware of the issue if Blizzard made you a mod you have access to them look this problem up on youtube it may be thousands suspended. thanks for your reply ill not reply again
As I told you:
I DO NOT WORK FOR BLIZZARD.
I HAVE NO MOD POWERS OR ANYTHING ELSE
MVPS are OTHER PLAYERS.
I have as much power as you do.
