I was playing a char on Mankirk, when to switch chars for a VOA, and then got error of unable to retrieve char list. I could go to windseeker and get those chars. Logged out and renamed the chache file to chache old as per some suggestions. Didn’t fix. Then scanned and repaired. Now unable to retrieve any char on any realm

I am having the same problem.
im also have same issue after maintenance ended and im trying to log on i get to the character screen and its black and says “Error Retrieving Character List” all the other buttons r there Addons, menu, create character etc… i even tried to change realm to a different 1 i have a couple characters on and get the same thing i restarted everything and still so i dont know what else to do!

Same. Now Mankrik doesn’t appear in the Realm list. I suppose there is a reset in progress.

I was until I tried to change toons.
thats what i am saying and there is no solution to this as far as i can tell
what do we do now ? i put in a support ticket and that is not working either
Same problem US East none of my toons are showing on any server
US West realms are loading fine, US East are all errors retrieving characters and black.
I can see realm list with number of characters but “can’t retrieve character list”. Windseeker server 12:40 est
Having this same issue on US West - Atiesh. After maintenance non of my characters are pulling up, cannot create/restore anything.
Edit: Looks like its not everyone, had guildies able to login and verify characters were still in guild. Looking forward to a fix.
Same issue with Bloodsail Buccaners realm. Does not connect, brings up realm list, go to US East and select the realm and then error as chacters are not fouond.
same problem - wotlk classic characters not loading for me on westfall or mankirk.
Same on Old Blanchy, can`t find characters and takes a long time to find the server list. The first character selection screen i got had no characters on it and was black.
Also tried repair of WOTLK classic and even downloading the updates to retail and classic. Same issue continues. Did not expect any fix this way, but used the down time to get the updates.
i actually completely deleted wrath and reinstalled it thinking it was just me

I’m having the same issue, was starting to stress out but as I can see I’m not the only one. Did anyone contact support at all?
