So I got the remastered versions and immediately I’m running into a problem: both wc1 and wc2 just flash into a black screen that then results in a signal lost on my display and I could listen to the intro in both games but not see it. Alt+enter makes the games go into windowed mode which then works, but skips the intro and there’s no way of rewatching the cinematics. So at this point I actually don’t know if they remastered them because even though I got the game I can’t access them 
Please, for the love of god, implement proper windowed fullscreen modes and set them as the default, having implemented it a couple times myself I can confidently say it’s really not that hard.
Same black screen for me. Both 1 and 2 remastered will start and I can see the cursor and hear the music, but it’s all black. I don’t know if it’s full screen or what, because alt+enter will not work at all for me. Not for Warcraft 1 or 2 remastered. Completely unplayable, unless I can find the file where the settings are stored. I’ve taken a quick look already, but no luck on that part yet
If you see the cursor it’s not a fullscreen issue. My problem is because my monitor has exceedingly long mode switch times.
that is a monitor issue. maybe you can solve it if you switch to a higher speed connector. it works for me on hdmi at the very least. i experienced the same issue when i used a vga connector. not that i know if you are.
I’m using a high speed connector that can do 4k 120 hdr (which is what I run at). Fullscreen mode switching is a very well known issue as well as the solution: a fullscreen windowed mode that will have the os optimize the game to run at the same performance as an exclusive mode just without the 10 second flickering when you start or tab out of the game.
