Why does every update break my D4/Battle.net?

Hi, 3 Months ago i came back to D4. Played a while till an update hit the game. Then, i got errors, mostly “Something went wrong, try again!”, until i deinstalled everything and couldn’t even install Battle.net again.

With the new Add-On, i thought i give it another shot. I could install Battle.net again, and D4 too. Great! Now, another update came out and i again have the issues:

Whoops! Looks like something broke. GFive it another Shot: BLZBNTAGT0000138F

Sorry, are you serious? And the troubleshooting again is basically “Have you tried turning it off and on again!”.

It sounds like another app is controlling or optimizing your drive. Is it installed on a drive with NTFS formatting? Is One Drive or something similar installed?

The easiest solution if you don’t want to track down a bunch of other things is to reinstall. But ultimately, it would be a problem with how the storage is managed.

So, why does Battle net even have problems like this?

Every other client works fine. My storage is managed by Windows as it has been done for years now, the update-problems are way more recent. Reinstalling 70-80 GB can’t be a reasonable solution.

But: I’ve tried to update again and again over my day, sometime it did work. But then no game started after i clicked to start it (Tried D4 and D2R). Now, next afternoon, i Rescaned/Repaired and than it works.

But, this is no real condition, if every update could break my game again, i think?

The install was likely interrupted by something. A dropped connection, some packet loss, a permission issue. Couldn’t tell you since I’m not using your computer.
