Whoops! Looks like something broke ERROR

I keep getting the same error “Whoops! Looks like something broke. You could try restarting Battle.net” error BLZBNTAGT00001393

And then when I click on that error it won’t let me repair (as per the suggestion) and gives me the same error. :frowning:

I did uninstall Battlenet app an reinstall it and I am still getting the error.

Note - I did see that when it starts to “Scan gaming files” is when the error pops up.

Now I keep getting this error: BLZBNTAGT0000096A and I have followed the instructions on how to address this error and STILL get this error.

HELP.

You pay for the expansion and pay monthly just to play that expansion; I expect to be able to log in and play that investment. Not star at an outage until 5PM PT whatever time that is.

For me it has been like this for about 3 days now. My error code is BLZBNTAGT00001389 though.

I am hoping that the system will “clear up” with this massive patch.

Mine is just saying the servers are down.

Free your hard drive space.

it wasnt a hard drive issue. It 100% was a Blizzard issue.

I was suffering from very slow download speed, as well as getting the “looks like something broke” popup over and over again. The update was estimated to take over 24 hours.

Having read some of the previous posts, it was obvious there was no easy fix for this.

I believe I have found the cause of the issue, in my case at least, and have managed to resolve the updating issue caused by low download speed, and constant crashing.

I decided to move my D4 install to another ssd. During the copy/paste process in file manager, the OS flagged five files that could not be read, and could not be copied.
These were…
data.004
data.018
data.021
data.039
data.040
I skipped these, and continued with the copy/paste.
When this was finished, I set D4 to use this new folder. It immediately tried to update and failed with the something broke popup.
I then ran a scan and repair, this took a while, but completed without error.
Update then ran successfully at full speed, and the game appears to be up to date and running.

Having five corrupt files in my original install folder, that neither the updater or the scan and repair utility were able to identify, is pretty poor imho.
Hope this helps anyone with the same issue.
