When you use the “help” option, I select the section, select the problem and I am sent to the forum and articles, and that is not what I want.
How can I contact customer service and ask them to do something?
That depends, what are you asking them to do? Some matters are not handled by customer support, like fps or connection issues, so they direct you to chat with the community. However, a billing issue or ban would be handled by customer support.
My problem is “connection issues/lags”
For my part, I did everything I could.
To rule out a problem with the Internet on my part, I reset the router x3, contacted the Internet provider and he reset the settings internally and then transferred me to another group (theoretically a less loaded connection) x4
I even started using cable internet.
I changed the graphics settings from max to medium and now I have them at minimum (my computer meets the max requirements) so that there is no lag.
everything makes me think that it’s something on your side because the lags and disconnections from the game started on their own about 2 weeks ago.
What can be done about it?
For starters, I do not work at Blizzard, I am a volunteer and fellow player.
If the servers are not reporting downtime, which I don’t see any right now, then there is nothing Blizzard can do on their end to change your connection problems. Blizzard writes gaming software and has no control over how you make the connection to where they host their data.
Your home equipment, the ISP network, and several routing peers are all parts of the connection route to the game server. That’s a lot of points where the connection can fail. If the ISP says there are no issues, then it could be the routing peers they use. Sometimes a VPN can route you around those issues, so I recommend trying that.
is it normal that d2r and d3 work fine and d4 has problems and when I leave the game and then come back there is no lag?
Perhaps your network equipment is being overloaded by D4 since it uses more data than D2R or D3. That would be really troubling and could point to equipment that’s starting to fail, because D4 isn’t a heavy data user, just more than the others.
None of the “Tech MVP” responses are helpful at all (just from a 3rd perspective). They’re actually a bit snide and antagonistic.
Why is the burden of proof on the person taking time out of their day to help a broken product?
When talking about internet connections there are many possible causes for the issues. If the game were broken, nobody could connect. If a large portion of users are having issues and happen to all live in one area, or use one ISP, that is a regional issue. If the issue is closer to home then it is a local ISP issue. If it is local to your home and your own equipment, it is a home networking problem.
Blizzard can’t help you with anything outside their own system. The rest of it is up to you and your ISP to sort out. If players want help sorting that out, other player might help them with troubleshooting. If they don’t want to do any work, that is up to the player. They can just hope their issue goes away.
Think of it like trying to drive to Awesome stadium in Fantastic City. You can drive quickly for Yourcity to Othercity, but the roads between Yourcity and Fantastic City have construction, an accident, or a detour. Maybe your car breaks down. Maybe the local weather is so terrible where you live your roads are blocked.
Awesome Stadium can only control what happens in their stadium, not the roads going to it, or the means people use to get there.
This may be an issue with the latest patch and should be resolved now, hopefully. Some of the new Witchcraft powers were causing performance issue which could include lag. Not sure about DCs. They disabled it last night, deployed a fix, and have it back online again.
BUG FIXES
- Fixed an issue where the Force of Will Witch Power could lead to infinitely scaling Overpower Damage.
- Fixed an issue where the Hex of Whispers Witch Power could cause a server crash, Hex of Whispers is now useable again.
Hopefully that was your issue and the hotfix resolved it.
Today I will test your theory. I will use another computer
this pathetic studio has no customer service. Only works for payments. they care only money - pathetcis studio!
If it’s on the same network and/or ISP, that would not test what I mentioned.
Tell me another AAA gaming company that also acts as a PC and ISP Help Desk. Blizzard was the only company that did all that, but those days are gone.
There is no possible way to contact blizzard at this time. “Sorry” for the inconvenience!
You can absolutely contact Blizzard Customer Support via ticket for any billing, purchase, or account issues. For connection issues, though, you should reach out to the company you pay for connections: the ISP.
I think you misunderstand what a Subscription is. A Subscription is an automatically re-occurring payment that you authorize. To do that you need a payment method without a set limit - something like a Credit Card or Paypal.
A game time card gives you Battlenet Balance which you can use to buy various things. You can buy a 2 month block of game time with it for example, but those game time blocks are not part of the Subscription promotion.
Since WoW release 20 years ago, all Subscriptions (automatically re-occurring payments) MUST have a credit card or paypal linked to it. The paypal must also have a credit card linked if you go that route.
So no, it is not Fraud to not let you use a game time card for a Subscription. They have never allowed that. You can use it to by a 2 month block of game time, or to use Battlenet Balance to buy digital versions of the games, account services, pets/mounts, etc.
This is all covered in the Support articles.
Limitations
Battle.net Balance cannot be…
- converted into cash
- transferred to another account
- combined with another payment method to make a purchase
- used for World of Warcraft subscriptions (but can be used for Game Time)
- used in:
- Blizzard Gear Store
- PlayStation Store
- Xbox Marketplace
- Nintendo Store
- Apple App Store
- Google Play
- Amazon Appstore
