I’m trying to figure out how to bind my wotlk character to warcraft logs but it doesn’t seem to work. Retail was super easy

Have you tried using one of the WoW Classic forums available here ?
This forum is for technical support on Blizzard’s Classic Games – legacy games such as Diablo II (2000). It is the wrong forum for any issues with WotLK.
Try using the WoW Classic forums… WotLK Classic Discussion for example:
