Warcraft III CD Key Required - BNet login issue

Hello team,

I pre-purchased Reforged when it was announced. I have been playing Classic Warcraft 3 through the launcher “Warcraft III CD Key Required” login screen
For a week now, whenever I am trying to log into the launcher through my pre-purchased option, I am given the following error message: “Failed to authenticate 2.51” with a single option to “Go back”

Troubleshooting performed without success:

  • Removed all Battle(dot)net / Blizzard Entertainment folders from withing Appdata / Temp and LocalAppData folders
  • Attempted to repair the game
  • Rebooted the PC and connection

To not waste your time nor mine - there is no payment issue. I bought reforged when it was initially available for pre-purchase. I have played Classic through my Reforged pre-payed Battle(dot)net login ever since then.

Please provide a valid solution, a way of launching the game through an executable (game executable, not launcher) or valid troubleshooting steps as nothing which I could find on this forum has worked.
