I can’t see any way to ever watch the intro of Warcraft I Remastered after seeing it for the first time. (It doesn’t play when you launch the game and there’s no option to rewatch on the menu.) It’s a simple thing but please add a Rewatch Intro option.
On the topic of the intro, it looked like a pretty bad AI upscale. But I would still like to be able to see it again.

Huh, you’re right. Just one of many problems/oversights with this collection.

I noticed that Warcraft II has “Play Introduction” in the preferences. Maybe just an oversight that it’s missing from Warcraft I.
Interesting, I looked in that movies folder and weirdly it has every other one of the 3D cutscenes from the original game in FLC format which, I just found out through experimentation is the same format they came on the original CD (they were just given the “WAR” file extension). It’s a shame that none of these cutscenes appear to be in the game at all.
if you want to watch the intro, yo can just open it manually with media player.
Well, then it doesn’t have sound. (The best part about the Warcraft intro is when it transitions to the main menu, the music continues in the background.)
Anyway I found a proper workaround which is to go to %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\WarcraftRemastered and delete PREFS.WAR.

there is likely a solution to that.
I wanted to thank you for this solution, as I had the issue with Warcraft II Remastered and I found for this, the solution is to go to %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Warcraft2Remastered and delete the file “GlobalSave.json”. Then the intro FMV will be played
Nafcom, for Warcraft II you can select “Play introduction” from the options menu.
this topic is about warcraft 1 and not about warcraft 2.
Nice find, but not good for me.
The whole reason I want to rewatch the intro is to have the music volume lower than default while doing it, so I can actually hear the voices for a change. If I delete the prefs file I expect music volume will get reset along with all other options.
Playing the webm file in MPC-HC also does not have sound for some reason. The audio codec is listed as the same as for the logocentered.webm which plays sound just fine, so I don’t think the issue is with my player.
But inspired by this example I found \x86\data\sound\speech\introaudio_01.ogg so I finally know what they say in the intro, yay!
