Warcraft I & II Remastered OpenGL Error

-opengl -window worked for me.

Thank you!! This fixed my problem! No more OpenGL 4.6 error! Game now works!

I finally found a solution for this as a Mac-only user. I’m lucky that through my company I have access to lots of Macs from different years with different processors, etc. First of all, I found no way at all to run these games on newer Macs with Apple silicon (Windows Parallels). Then I tried Warcraft 1 and 2 remastered on Windows Bootcamp of older MacBook Pros (2015, 2017). It was very frustrated - I couldn’t find any way to get past this error on them. I almost gave up. Then I landed on a 2019 MacBook Pro with an Intel processor. This seems to be the perfect age computer for this. I installed Windows 10 BootCamp, and finally the games run fine - no extra configuring needed

Not as easy as it should be, but so happy I can finally play them on a Mac.

that is because it runs in windows and windows supports 32 bit executables. modern macs is only 64 bit. which is why they work with starcraft 2(64 bit version only) and not this(no 64 bit version). not that i know why the remasters is 32 bit only. it frankly does not make any sense but, fact is fact.

Do we have a solution for parallels users here ? No reply from support the last 2 months on my ticket. Just being closed without a reply

Not correct as the systems requirements show clearly for both games 64bit

no matter what, the windows task manager shows them as 32 bit. that means that they are 32 bit. requirements is just words. it is what the developers wants people to have and not what is actually required. i tested it in 32 bit windows and it is compatible. it works in 32 bit windows 7 and 64 bit windows 7. a 64 bit executable would only work in 64 bit windows. the editor actually works in 32 bit vista. i just tested it.
