While doing Orc campaign, I noticed enemies were oddly doing a easy job invading my base and killing my poor peons. First I thought I was the one doing a bad job but I noticed that even when I blocked all the passages (bridges, for example) they still managed to get inside my base with full HP bars??
Well, it appears they were actually “spawning” inside my base, or even worse, they would go invisible (???), ignore all my troops in the way and reappear inside my base, killing all the peons.
I wonder if there is someone going throught the same, cause I couldn´t find anyone talking about this.
In later campaign maps the humans have the Invisibility spell, sneaking units past your defences. Is probably what you’re experiencing.
A few spearmen close to your Peon line usually helps.
You can block them with buildings.
This may just be part of the game, in later orc missions humans do invisibility spell raids constantly.
that is caused by the invisibility spell. your best bet is to place ranged units around your workers, as they lose invisibility when they attack.
For the record, if you are blocking the bridges, and they still show up… either some got through before you blocked the bridges, or you’re not actually blocking all the bridges.
Btw, as I said elsewhere, IMO invisible mages should be detectable by something, like towers or zeppelins, or both. Complete invisibility is a bit bulls**t
EDIT: ops this was about war1
that is a problem in warcraft 1: there is no defensive structures, nor is there air units.
Simple change would be having farsight and dark vision remove invisibility on units. Raiders can get an upgrade for the dire wolf to sniff them out temporarily.
