Dear Blizzard Warcraft 3-Team,
Since the latest patches, I have a slight hope of finding your ear in this forum, therefore can you please look into the following issue:
When you enter a warcraft 3 battle.net match (specifically 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4) today, in roughly 50% of the matches there is one player dropping within the first 30sec. Usually because they want to avoid playing higher MMR ranked players, sometimes because they want to spoil the fun of the others and maybe even in rare occasions because their internet connection isn’t stable or the game crashes. This obviously is such a big disadvantage for their team, that the rest is leaving as well and the whole game will end abruptly. I am just coming out of a series of five 4v4 games, where always one player dropped, so no real game was played, but it kept me busy searching and starting to build for a total of 20min.
My proposal to fix this is: ban the player account of a player that dropped within the first 2min of a game from searching a new game for 1min. If he drops again the next game, raise the ban to 5min, if he drops again raise it to 10min and so forth.
This would solve the issue immediately and I assume it’s relatively easy to implement.
