Cursor disappears in full screen mode. works in windowed mode.

Same for me. Anyone knows how to fix it?

I found a possible solution. I was not getting a cursor in full screen 2560x1440 resolution. Turning down the size of the cursor fixed it for some reason. If the cursor is too large it vanishes, not sure why lol.

For Warcraft 1 Remastered, making sure the ā€œOverride high DPI scaling behaviorā€ checkbox is checked, with ā€˜Applicationā€™ selected from the dropdown menu just below that, in the Warcraft.exe properties fixed it. Could try that with Warcraft II as well, although that didnā€™t work for me, again I had to reduce the size of the cursor for War2.

I had this same issue. Tried a bunch of options Iā€™ve seen, but none helped.
Then I found an old generic article from Microsoft that says its due to pointer trails. Maybe you have it on too. If so, disabling them fixed it for me.

  • Open Control Panel.
  • Click on Mouse.
  • Navigate to pointer options tab.
  • Under Visibility, uncheck the box which says ā€œdisplay pointer trailsā€.
  • Click on OK to close the window.

If you were using this option, this should fix it for you! If not, try some other Windows mouse pointer options to disable. Good luck!
