Warcraft 1 and 2 remastered will not start

After the first few screens I get this message:
Lost Connection to Battle.net. Please login to Battle.net and restart the client

SOmeone posted this possible solution:
ou can instead, update the shortcuts to this, which should work (for wc1 and 2 respectively):
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Battle.net\Battle.net.exe” --exec=“launch W1R”
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Battle.net\Battle.net.exe” --exec=“launch W2R”

Problem is I could not find the short cuts I needed to update anywhere in the battle.net folder. I have no idea where they are. Can Somebody help>
It is an outrage that Blizzzard has not fixed this and seems not to care.

Have you tried to start via battlenet client? (GUI) You can try the repair function there before launching it again.

I got the games to work using through the Battlenet links. I guess it is just the desktop icon that is messed up.
Still, that shuld no thave snuck by Blizzard.
