War1 & War2 to be removed from GoG

Hi,

I heard that War1 & War2 are to be removed from GoG on 13th december.

I understand the move because Battle.net is now actively selling them, and even selling a remaster for both.

But for War2 please… we got back French voices on GoG version and they are still not present in War2 Bnet Edition & Remastered. French voices were very iconic in War2 and are large part of the experience.

You are removing a better product to give a lower quality one, that is hard to handle. (talking about War2 Bnet Edition)

Please give at least same quality product when you decide to remove a counterpart.

Give War2 Bnet Edition & Remastered French voices back. (and other missing languages)

I’m wondering if you can be banned for modifying game files in the same time you are connected to Bnet.

Maybe if there was a ladder on War2… but the guidelines forbid it in all cases, so we can’t know.

here is an idea: blizzard could supply each buyer of warcraft 1 and 2 with a gog key, so that they can unlock the gog version.

Well guys, go to buy your game on GOG quickly.
In worst case you might find a copy of the CD on Archive.

I have mine because i bought it, in fact, i bought Warcraft 2 several times :

  • First the DOS Version, Tides of Darkness and Dark Portal
  • Then the BNET Edition, i still have the disc and i still have the original box.
  • I had a cool poster of Warcraft !

2nde option, go to download War2combat it’s free, you have many languages.

I don’t know why that was even necessary, just improve the remaster and leave the originals alone.
I would have liked more Blizzard games on Gog, not less :pensive:
