Hey Bud, your topic got closed but I believe it still applies to Battlenet Edition and the version you were trying to get assistance with. I dont know if this is a combo War2 forum or if it has been taken over by strictly remastered version.

I tested this on the GoG client and was able to reproduce this when the GoG supplied CD key was not registered with the game.
When I registered the CD Key, it let me into Battlenet without issue.
Also keep in mind that for Battlenet, you need to do the port forwarding for GoG’s version as well.

The added link to the Github cnc-ddraw download is really the key for UI screen issues on many older games.
These Blizzard forums are not well defined. We are addressing tech issues in both the Warcraft 1 & 2 General Discussion and Legacy Games Tech Support.
Leviathan also provided good detail on the finer aspects of the GOG vs Blizzard versions in the closed thread.
Port forwarding is always an issue on these older Battle.net games. GOG does provide tech support for their games and even mentions port forwarding with a link on their store’s front page for Warcraft II Battle.net Edition as quoted…
