Well. Where do I begin?
I originally launched battle.net to update diablo II Resurrected.
Before battle.net starts up, it says :
“We’ve detected a newer version of battle.net than the one you’re attempting to launch. You may need to fix your shortcuts.”
Battle.net launches, I tried to play Diablo II but it acts like it’s not installed. So I clicked locate game folder to the appropriate folder. It acts like it’s going to update the game but it returns back to the install button. I tried updating battle.net by downloading the download straight from the website and it seems like it updated but still giving me the startup message above and same problem. I can’t even uninstall battle.net which is scary by itself.
When I try to uninstall Diablo II or Battle.net, it asks if I’m sure I want to uninstall and I say I’m sure. It says Uninstalling battle.net please wait… It disappears and nothing gets uninstalled. It should not be this difficult and scary uninstall a game or program. I’m under the administrator account.
At this point, I just want to do a fresh start by uninstalling battle.net completely from all folders and reinstall to see if it fixes the issues.
