I appealed a silence in HOTS, and I received a positive response - to an older ticket. They closed out a former ticket (that I had believed was already closed), and they have not checked back in on the recent ticket. I don’t know what to do, the silence has already cost me 3-4 days of playing. I submitted another ticket through “I have been hacked”, but I have yet to receive a response on either ticket.
Unsure how to get them to apply the overturn to the new ticket when they posted it on the older ticket (also overturned). In case there is any confusion, I received a silence - it was overturned. I received a second silence - it was also overturned, but the wrong ticket was closed. It shows no restriction when I log in, but the penalty is still marked pending appeal. My account on Heroes of the Storm is also still silenced. Thanks.
That wasn’t necessary. Putting in social/behavior appeals outside of the Account Restrictions page will not get the appeal looked at faster. Instead they will likely be closed because they are the wrong category, or they will be merged into an existing, proper appeal.
It sounds like the second silence was not overturned, or at least the second appeal hasn’t been worked yet.
You may have inadvertently made your situation more complicated than it needed to be with the extra appeal in the wrong category. You’ll have to wait until support sorts the tickets and gets to your second appeal.
It was overturned (received the reply today). I lost 5 days of game time because of the mistake. There seems to be zero recourse for me to get any remuneration for my lost playing time.
Thanks for your answer, but it was super unhelpful. This forum, the ticket system, and the GM appeals are completely unhelpful and do not inspire confidence enough in me to spend money on this company.
This forum is for player to player assistance. It’s not for contacting Support or any other parts of Bliz.
Without it, you’d still have both silences applied.
Again, you’d still have both silences applied.
Five days on a free to play game. In the event of a mistake, there really isn’t any possible to way to provide you with lost time compensation.
GMs are human, humans make mistakes, TalentAvaila. That is what the appeal system is for.
Appeals, like all tickets, are answered in the order they are received. Provided there isn’t anything to muddy the process, such as putting extra tickets in under the wrong category, any delays you may experience are a result of simply waiting for your turn.
It should be. You now know that intentionally putting in extra tickets in the wrong category will not help get your appeal seen any faster, and may even cause delays, possibly the very delay you are upset about.
