Stop Battle.net client from opening after closing a game

Hello!

As the title says, I’d like to know it there is a way to stop the client from reopening after I close a game. The option for the client to minimize when I click play is awesome, but it’s annoying when I close a game and want to do something else but the client suddenly jumps to my screen.

Howdy Wotand,

Here are the steps to have the app close after you launch a game.

Open up the app and click on the symbol in the top left hand corner
Select Settings
Under General>When I launch a game select “Exit Battle.net Completely”
Click done

If you only want to prevent the Battle.Net Desktop App from re-appearing when you exit from the game, an alternative to completely shutting down the Battle.Net App is to ensure that the option “Restore Battle.net window when game ends” is not selected… as in this screenshot:

To reopen the Battle.Net App, you will need to double-click on the icon in the system tray.
Also, as you may have already noticed, right-clicking on the icon in the system tray will give you various options, as well as allow you to launch the games you have in your “favorite bar”.
