Same thing’s happened here, I’m from South Florida and using a VPN works but only with the added cost of INCREDIBLY high ping. Sadly I cannot use a mobile hotspot as my motherboard doesn’t have a wifi card and I don’t own an external one.
Hey, StodgyMeteor! Moved you over to a new thread since the other one is specifically to track European connection issues. With the VPN working, it does suggest a routing issue to the Blizzard services. Could you include a WinMTR test? Run this test to us.actual.battle.net
for 5 to 10 minutes while attempting to connect. Copy and paste the text file created and paste it between two ~~~ like so:

If you have issues pasting here, use Pastebin and post the end of the link. (ie. 123456 for pastebin.com/123456

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider
I tried running it for 5 minutes but I have to constantly attempt to log back in on the blizzard launcher. I can confirm that I had 0-1% packet loss when I was not signing on through the blizzard launcher.
Hey StodgyMeteor! Thank you very much for taking the time to reply with that WinMTR data. The WinMTR test shows packet loss occurring within the home network, and that is very likely to be where the problem is occurring:
| Docsis-Gateway.hsd1.fl.comcast.net - 17
| 149 | 124 | 0 | 0 | 8 | 0 |
This first “hop” here is the connection from your computer to the router or modem (depending on which device you’re connecting to). Packet loss is relatively common to see with WiFi connections, so if you are using WiFi, try testing a direct connection to the router or modem via ethernet cable. Note that we do not directly support wireless connections. If you find that WiFi is the problem, you can contact the support team for the WiFi device or the wireless router.
If you still can’t connect, this would be an issue to bring up to your ISP, as they may need to run some diagnostic tests on your modem or router and/or temporarily replace the device to determine what is causing the packet loss. Keep in mind that you can request to speak with a “level 2 or level 3 technician” when contacting the ISP, as the front-line representatives typically only have access to basic diagnostics and troubleshooting tools. In addition, I encourage forwarding the WinMTR data to whomever you speak with when contacting the ISP, because if they’re able to interpret the data, this may enable them to diagnose and resolve the issue more quickly.
I hope that this information has provided further insight into the situation and helps get things fixed up so you can get back to playing as normal!
