P/S: I done every troubleshooting step in your article and it change nothing, for now either using VPN to connect or use server region hopping like I mention below.
I’m from Viet Nam, since your latest DDOS attack, whatever you done to the server to prevent this attack, I can’t connect to Americas server region anymore. I can still connect normally to Asia, Europe. This is just a workaround in the meantime, I want to connect to Americas (Singapore). Any game franchise from directly Blizzard (at least I try OW2 and It worked) I can use this workaround in the meantime, but Call of Duty franchise on Battlenet or any other platform like Steam, console (PS5) doesn’t have this “hopping workaround”.
I don’t think this affect just Viet Nam but the whole SEA (South East Asia) region.
Disable any proxies that may interfere with the login module. Run a security scan to remove any viruses or malware infections. Configure your security software’s exception list to allow Blizzard applications to run. Try creating a new administrator account to resolve permissions issues.
Like I said, nothing work. Except change the server I log in or using VPN. It’s not my PC or ISP, It’s on their side problem. This is not the first time. This week they got like 3 or 2 DDOS attack wave same thing like this happen every time. From the last DDOS, the problem resolved itself, I only manage to connect to their server (without any trick) for only 1 day just to be right after that they got attacked again and now same problem again.
Same here, I don’t know what DDoS mitigation strategies are at play here, but they’re really messing up with local ISPs in Vietnam and SEA too, from what I can tell.
