i need a new authenticator as the one i have will not turn on
Blizzard discontinued the physical authenticators years ago. You can’t buy a new one. They only offer the Mobile Authenticator App.
If you still have one on your account, you will need to remove it before you can access the account. There is a self help tool you can use if your phone is set up to get SMS from Blizzard.
Add your phone number then you can remove your own Auth without help. Phone number must match your country of residence, be a contract phone (not pre paid or VOIP).
Once done, you can download the Mobile Authenticator and add that to your account.
If you can’t set up the SMS phone number and can’t remove the old one yourself, you will need to put in a ticket through the website here. Once staff verify you are the account holder, they will remove it for you. Then you can add the Mobile Authenticator, assuming you have a device and phone number that works with it.
If thats the case i already have my phone number down also i think you need to update peoples accounts as its still asking for the physical authenticator every time i try to add the extra bag space and will i still retain the core hound pet that came with the physical authenticator
MVPs are other players, not Blizzard staff. We have zero power or contacts with Devs.
Bag space and Core hound pet are two separate things.
- Core Hound Pet: Having any Authenticator on the account will give you that. Either the old Keychain (discontinued manufacturing), or the Mobile Authenticator.
- Extra bag slots: Requires an Authenticator AND SMS Notifications to be set up. Those are two different things.
