Opened the launcher to play classic wow, the launcher automatically started an update. It immediately popped the error message BLZBNTAGT0000096A, which wanted me to follow these steps. It then started the scan and repair process, and which had been stuck between the two n’s in the “Scanning game files. Please wait…” message.
The dialog box said this process would take 5-30 minutes. I stopped the scan after 50 minutes of being stuck in the same spot. I then followed these steps which fixed nothing. I’m now stuck and unsure where to go from here.
