I think it would be a great idea to bring some cosmetics inspired by previous games into D4. It was awesome running through the durance of hate, and almost by memory navigating to the center of the level just from what I remembered from thousands of Mephisto runs.
Some of the iconic items like Herald of Zakarum, Stormshield, grandfather, azurewrathe blade, etc would offer an awesome opportunity to bring some of that nostalgia back with this fresh new gameplay.
I’ve honestly been extremely impressed with many of the reworks of Diablo 4, and I’m glad to be back playing a current game.
Perhaps release of these retro items could coincide with the start of a new season of D2R, or release of a new expansion (possibly a Lord of Destruction expansion, with an Arreat’s face cosmetic for Heir of Perdition, etc)
I’ve played these games in the Diablo franchise for over 25 years and it would be great to incorporate these types of things.

Retro NPCs (non-dialogue only, like swapping Akara with a healer)
