Required application data failed to load error

Hello,
Recently I’m having some trouble with the BattleNet app not being able to start properly. So far I have encountered the exact same problem a couple of times in the past two months.
When I try to start the BattleNet app I would get the following message:
“Required application data failed to load
The installation may be corrupt. Please re-install”
And indeed after a re-installing the app, the app will start and will work OK, for a period of time. Recently however I had to re-install the app at least once a week to get it to work, until today. Yesterday when I decided to use it I got the message (which I’m used to by now), and re-installed the app and everything was OK - I played, I went to bed, shut down my rig - all good.
Today I start my computer, lo and behold the same message, however I get the error after fresh installing the app. So fat I have done the following:

  • Deleted any Blizzard/Battle.net folders in temp files
  • Deleted any Blizzard/Battle.net folders in local app data
  • Tried re-installing the app again, still no joy.

Anybody who has recently encountered this problem and knows a solution ?

Did you ever find another solution other than the one mentioned? I just ran into this problem.

you can try to re-install only the launcher (battle.net)
