I posted this in the wrong forum earlier. I would share but this forum doesn’t allow me to post links to other threads. I also am listing the page below by title and not by link for the same reason.
The page here: “Cannot Unlock a Boosted Character - Blizzard Support”
unequivocally states “To unlock the character, you need to purchase a new character boost from the World of Warcraft in-game shop.” It does NOT say if it is possible to use a boost from a purchased expansion upgrade. As my other thread shows, it led to confusion (and extra purchases) with customer support.

Thanks for posting the link. I hope the people who maintain the support site can fix it. Also I noticed that there is a “known problem” line on that page that just showed up in the last couple days, so maybe that’s what got me.
