So I’m new to protocol dungeons, and the mechanics behind a lot of the cata heroics, because I quit during original cataclysm. I was a wrath/TBC gamer. I’m in instance trying to watch what everyone’s doing so I can learn, and I am nonstop being trolled, or called a newb, Then finally I was removed from the group, because I didn’t know to stop casting when the boss was casting.
They act as if you’re supposed to automatically just know what to do, and even when you try to be polite and ask them to stop they keep on pushing my buttons. Then I snap and like vindictive sociopaths they report me, because their ego got bruised. I have a short fuse for that type of behavior. It’s highly unfair that I got suspended for abusive language when there is a built in language filter.
What is the point of having a built in language filter if they can turn around and report you for said language? It makes absolutely no sense. It’s frustrating enough trying to learn the mechanics in a difficult dungeon without being trolled, and on top of it I am supposed to tolerate that level of abuse? But if I say something back I get in trouble because I used “obscene language” that can literally be filtered out.
In my opinion if they are going to take the filter off then they shouldn’t be allowed to report for obscene language. Also, the context of what I said was literally just a diss. It’s not like it was blood curdling or disturbing. Nothing that warrants a week long suspension. I’ve had multiple complaints. That is the ONLY reason I am suspended. The trolling is nonstop.
