I bought COD: Modern Warfare on my Blizzard Account on my gaming laptop. Can my son play it on his gaming rig when I am not using the game on the laptop? Basically, how can my son play the game with his own account and progress without having to purchase the game twice! I know there is family sharing on consoles. Is that a thing on PCs?
Hey there,
The biggest thing to consider here is that only one player can be online at a time. So if y’all plan to play together it would not work. Though if y’all are playing separately it should be fine.
The next thing to consider is our End User License Agreement. We are only able to support sharing if the other user is considered a minor in your country of residence. More details here.
I do highly recommend parental controls on the account. These can be used for purchase restrictions, play time restrictions, and social restrictions. These restrictions can be adjusted at any time. Here is the setup page. Remember, the account holder is always held responsible for the activity of any shared party.
Hope the details help. If there’s anything else you might need just let us know.
Thanks for playing and enjoy the games!
Hey,
I know it had been a couple of months since the post has been live. Just wondering how someone would go about setting up this “gameshare” through battle.net. Neither of the links provided lead to an actual instruction on how to do so.
Many thanks
