After talking to a Game Master.
The situation you have encountered is a rare case that is happening with console accounts that previously did not use Battle.Net accounts.
After double-checking the situation, I can see that your XBOX account connected to another Battle.Net.account. (No worries here, this account was created by an automated system)
So, what remains to do for now is use your console to login to the Battle.Net that was originally chosen as a target to merge, then select “disconnect” from interface and then connect your console to the other Battle.Net account.
Keep in mind that this is the only workaround available at the moment. Customer support bypass restrictions from our side.
Please, follow this advice, and I hope you will manage to connect your accounts!
Nevertheless, our developers are doing their best to facilitate this process in order to deliver the best experience possible.
It seems like this problem goes back MONTHS. Also, it seems like I gotta go buy an xbox just to go link the (Cool word) account.
This forum is for the API only, we can’t really help you with that.
Have you tried the xbox app for Windows ? I linked my bnet account using that, maybe you can find something that works for what you wanna do.

My apologies. I just assumed that it had to do with the APIs. I haven’t been able to find how to link bnet on the Xbox app. I know how to enable the extension tho. I don’t think it’d help in this case anyways. I need it linked on the bnet side.
Thanks for moving it to the right channel, Schiller!

Imma use number 3 on the list and this isn’t a direct question to you, Schiller.
This question goes out to anyone wanting to answer or has a solution.
Why did they think making an email on the behalf of the xbox users, who played their games on console, and make it to where they have to pass a security check to access the bnet account? AFAIK there isn’t even an SMTP server to access the mail feed. I think it’s a little silly to force security checks on an email that can’t even receive mail.
Lastly, and I know there is more, Why can’t the GMs either:
- remove the security check.
- Unlink the account.
- Change the email.
After a security check thru the tickets, which they made me do, they can find out if it’s the persons account or not, so any of those solutions can be helpful.
Another edit.
They told me in the tickets that they couldn’t do anything, but the devs are working on the solution. I think they are doing both, working on a solution and helping people with tickets, because somethings happening to my guest account and I’m hoping they solve it soon. <3.

The something different is the xbox button to login on the bnet app actually doing something now. Instead of getting stuck on a security check it actually works and brings me back to the bnet app, where the session expires. However, it’s further.
