I will buy it day one. It will sell 20x more copies in there. Call of Duty and Diablo 4 are already on Steam, Age of Empires had a revival thanks to Steam (owned by Microsoft too). There’s no reason to lockdown 30 year old games.

Agreed… pleeease bring this to Steam. I really want to buy it but I only purchase games on Steam now (no more BNet/GOG/Epic/etc. for me)

I’m debating refunding and waiting for Steam release. I have the GOG versions to tide me over with nostalgia hits until then, and I’ve only played the 2nd remaster long enough to do the first mission. The only reason I can think this didn’t get simultaneous release on Steam is to get people who can’t wait to buy on Bnet, then some will rebuy on Steam when it comes out there.
The only thing is, AFAIK the only way to get the Meat Wagon mount in WoW now is to buy the battle chest, can’t just pay $10CAD or whatever it used to be to upgrade Reforged anymore and get it? So I would permanently lose that.
the advantage with buying this on battle.net is that you will still be able to play it in windows 7 when steam no longer works there. i have already tested both games in windows 7 and they works perfectly.
Thats not true. Steam works on Windows 7. It just does tell you on the top right of the app that the system is not supported anymore but it works.
maybe at the moment but, it will eventually stop working on windows 7. it does not install without workarounds. battle.net still works in windows 7.
