First you MUST have watched one of the qualified Twitch streamers (OW2) for at least 4 hours yesterday, and the drop HAS to show up in your Inventory, this is a requirement for this solution
Started At 1:10 am:
If you tried everything and still didn’t get beta access to Overwatch 2 Tech beta (including checking connections, opting in, linking things, etc), try making sure your e-mail address is the same on Twitch as it is on Blizzard
Set up 2 factor authentication on Twitch.
Go to Connections in Twitch, and make sure battle net is connected. You will do the same on Battle net app, and make sure Twitch is connected, under your account settings.
I got an option to reclaim my claimed reward in Twitch Inventory (Claim button is yellow, and Refresh button to the right of it. This button may show up more than one time and it’s okay, will still work if e-mails match)
(Also it DOES NOT MATTER if it said Claimed before, it’s not “claimed” until it’s on your b-net launcher, it can keep refreshing for a bit if your b-net/twitch connection is off somehow)
Check your e-mail and verify your e-mail, then wait 30 mins to a few hours.
UPDATE: At 6:35am checked Battlenet client, the menu HAS Overwatch 2 Tech Beta AVAILABLE in the drop down. It just takes a little time. NOT SURE HOW MUCH TIME but this DOES work.
Hope it helps you!!!
The install is 12gb, doesn’t take long on decent internet. About 20-30 min
step 3 - if it was already connected (or still showing connected). Disconnect Bnet from Twitch and then go back into your drops. It will prompt you to re-activate your account. We are currently testing this theory and will update this chain.
UPDATE 10.2? Drop has re-appeared. I have connected Battle.net Account again. AND CONFIRMATION, I AM IN! This is the solution!!!
Also absolutely under no circumstances should you disconnect Twitch from Battle.Net - It will lock you out for 7 days. Only disconnect Bnet on Twitch!
Started a new thread and have been throwing it out to twitch streamer viewers, i think your solution may be the one. Something about those emails being the same for whatever reason appears to be necessary.
hey, my emails are the same and it hasnt worked for me. thinking i should try disconnecting account then reconnecting through the drop inventory section when prompted to log in.
Do you have the Two Party Authentication set up on Twitch?
Can also disconnect account BNET from twitch (On twitch only). then log out and log back in and re-claim drop and connect. I had to do it that way, (after setting up two party Authentication) I know it’s a pain, but that is how we got ours to work.
If you disconnect your battle.net
And then log out of twitch and back in. is it still prompting you on the drop to connect your BNET? once you’ve reconnected Bnet and selected drop give it 30min to an hour.
I also found a possible issue that i also utilized. I have Overwatch/Battlelauncher installed on an external drive. I reinstalled the launcher on my normal SSD drive. That could have also been a part of my fix.
