[Out of Game Bug] Can't Launch WC2:R with Desktop Icon

I only have Warcraft 2 Remastered and every time I try to launch the game through the Desktop Icon the game launched but gives me a screen saying

“Lost connection to Battle net. Please login to Battle net and restart the client.”

Makes me wonder why there’s a Desktop Icon if I have to bring up the B net launcher to play it.
