BUT …your customers don’t need an 100% unnecessary intermediary just to get into the game itself. We were logging in for like 15 something years w/o the app. Life was fine.
The Desktop App team can seriously all get sterilized. We don’t need more people in the world reproducing that come up with counter intuitive media blind and def to customer input.
I get something something Marketing but seriously, anyone that promotes annoying and obnoxious adverts that have no need and didn’t exist should have their head examined. Psychopathic. I cannot think of a single time ANYONE, ANYWHERE said “you know what I LOVE … pop-ups” or “you know what would make this EVEN better …pop-up ads you didn’t ask for”. YAY!
If this game was FTP, I’d say have at it. I’ll watch your ad on Youtube since it’s free. We are the customer and I don’t know any of us that requested this garbage design ?
My personal favorite was the “update required” and then BOOM! New pop-up!
Commercial required, call it that. Don’t lie and say “update” as if needed to allow my actual game to function properly.
