I double left clicked on a friends name, and as the chat window opened I saw the message text bar flash mid screen then it disappeared. I restarted my Win11 desktop thinking that would clear it, it didn’t.
I have no message bar in which to type.
I have followed all instructions listed here.
ie. made sure my GPU drivers were up to date, the same with my OS, uninstalled bnet and reinstalled it

Is this a question about the Bnet for PC app?
I’ve been having the same issue for a few days. I tried both the normal and beta client but the problem exists on both.
When using “Automatically create a pop-out window for new chats” option there is no text box to send a message
Same problem here.
The input window actually appears when a friend writes to me and I have the chat opened, but I am still unable to scroll through the entire chat. Somehow this pop-up chat is completely bugged for a few days or a week already.
Yes it’s the Bnet app for PC
It used to show when the window popped up, but I think they changed something.
However, if I start typing, the textbox shows up for me.
This could be result of an extension installed for your regular browser - Things pertaining to blocking or removal, like ads and/or scripting.
I experienced this quite some time ago. Re-installing chrome fixed it after reboot when I had no intention of persuing a fix.
Could be a completely new issue, worth a try?
It’s a bug with the pop-out windows.
For me it was the old version of the ad-block plus extension for chromium!
It’s not happening in the Window that combines all messages, but a bug requires a client update to be fixed. The team has not announced any changes for that specific issue yet.
