MW2 Bans require attention

I know this has been said multiple times by many users but we need some help from blizzard. Everyone stating that they have been banned on the forums has been directed by blizzard to seek support through Activision. I fully understand that Activision is the company producing the game but BLIZZARD is distributing said game and is taking no action in helping resolve the permanent ban on our accounts. All of the users that I have seen with the permanent ban issue have tried and failed to resolve through Activision and have received an automated response clearly stating that the ban is permanent, final, and no further action can be taken to dispute the issue. We are at a standstill between the two companies and as customers it appears we’re completely screwed out of our money. If you would like to keep a customer base I would advise someone at blizzard look into the matter and maybe try and communicate the issues to Activision because all of us are getting nowhere. NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT FROM EITHER END. I am very frustrated, as I’m sure a lot of other people are. WE NEED ANSWERS!!!

It appears they don’t care. Pursue legal action. California Attorney General, BBB, file fraud reports. If enough people do this they will pay attention

Yeah this is ridiculous. Activision will not respond to the issue. Blizzard refuses to take any action for the issue even though they supply the game. I disputed the charge through PayPal and Blizzard refuses to acknowledge the dispute (Luckily I’ll just get my money back after 7 days). Originally, I just wanted to be unbanned to play the game. Now, I just want my money back so I can get ready for God of War…

Right. It would be one thing to actually be cheating. But a lot of people were either banned during the campaign or before even playing. Yet I can still play warzone/cold war no problem. Tell me why I’m banned for apparently cheating in 1 game but not the other two. I also played multiple days of the beta with no issues whatsoever. Made no changes to PC since…doesn’t add up at all and they don’t care. Just deflect issues to activision.

Yeah I played the beta all weekend. I completed the campaign during the early release. I was banned after paying three matches. I alt f4’d the last game because we were getting destroyed like 30-5, but I’m a cheater. Got it. Closing the game like that probably caused the issue but who knows. I’m still able to play every other COD though.

LEFT IN THE MIDDLE OF A MATCH??? Perma banned for sure. You should know better than to leave a match. I’d hate to see a power outage…everyone within miles radius playing cod perma banned. HAHAHA

I mean I get being banned for ridiculous reasons can be frustrating, but in reality they have every right to ban you for literally no reason at all, and I’m almost 100% positive if you went through the EULA they absolutely reserve that right, now that doesn’t mean that this is what happened, but you are almost certainly not entitled to anything here. If this is an issue of an error with their cheat detection then it will be handled, unfortunately your argument here is just false. Activision IS Blizzard. THEY are the ones distributing the game, they own Blizzard, they own Battle.net, and they produced the game and distributed the game via the battle.net app. I’d say give them time, my dude. I’ve seen people on here complaining about not getting a response for TWO DAYS like they don’t know and Blizzard hasn’t blatantly said multiple times that they are experiencing massive volume of tickets, across every single title, the employees that work there in customer service have nothing to do with the policies and don’t have any control over the quantity of tickets or what they are allowed to do to resolve them, they’re just employees. Don’t take your anger out on them my dude lol take it out on the company itself. Refund the crap through your bank, don’t buy their crap anymore, etc. They definitely aren’t gonna respond to your forum posts if you’re just raging and they certainly probably have way more than they can handle right now.

They have every right to take my money and ban me for no reason with little to no explanation? I think not. Its fraud. Im entitled to what I paid for. Not to be stolen from

Yes. They do. You do not own the game, you paid for access to the title with them reserving the right to revoke that access at any point in time with or without reason. Maybe you should start reading End User License Agreements. If you buy digital content you do not own that content, you own a license to access that content, which can be taken away at their discretion. Like I said this is not fraud, they literally inform you of this and it is legally binding when you accept the terms. You can literally just refund the purchase and if you cannot do it through them directly then you can contact your financial institution. You as a consumer have absolutely no entitlement to access and are subject to their rules and their terms because you agreed to it. But I mean, keep being a Karen, it’s clearly gotten you that refund you wanted. (Pro tip, being banned in a video game is not a criminal offense. Good luck proving fraud for something you signed a contract for when you purchased it.)

Wrongfulyl banned* whats the point of a TOS if the company itself doesnt even hold up their end of the agreement. But yes continue to try and make me look like the bad guy while defending a multi-billion dollar company who steals from people.

I contacted Activision and let them know that I loaded the game, played for less than an hour and was banned. Activision responded that the ban held as I was using ā€˜Third Party’ software. I have not added or used any new software to my PC in fact I’m still able to play the original MW ll and not get banned, with the same PC that they accuse me of having 3rd party software. That tells me that the problem clearly is on their part not mine. My gut feeling is that this issue will grow, and Activision will be forced to attend to it. Surprised a ā€œGaming Lawyerā€ hasn’t seen the financial possibilities on a massive scale, make sure you all keep those emails from Activision.
