So happened today right after the maintenance is over. Tried to log in and as I clicked play wow retail, the realm list pop out with “incompatible” status.
Tried the scan and repair, after it finished scanning it prompted me to “Update” as I clicked update I got the “BLZBNTAGT000008A4” error.
Tried restarting battle.net (waited until agent.exe disappear from task before relaunching battle.net), problem still persist.
Tried restarting Windows = problem still persist
Tried shutting down comp (wait 10 minutes) and restart comp = problem still persist.
And then I tried uninstalling the battle.net and then reinstall it, and I got the “Update stuck to 45%” issue. Tried a couple of times, problem persisted.
I deleted all battlenet related files from Program Data, delete the battlenet.exe installation. Shut down PC (for 10 mins), turn it on back again. Download a new battlenet.exe. And tried to install…the process start until 25% the I got the " BLZBNTBTS00000028" error. And it persisted until now.
Can any tech help me with this issue?
There are two log files created in battlenet folder, I tried posting it her but somewho it caused my message to get flagged.
I have the exact same issue. I couldn’t install Overwatch, then when I gave up on it I couldn’t uninstall it (Overwatch just infinitely tried to reinstall itself and always failed), so I uninstalled Battle.net and now trying to reinstall and I get the same 45% plus BLZBNTBTS00000028 “whoops something broke” error, so I can’t even go back and play Hearthstone. I must admit the release of Overwatch’s biggest competitor in years is not a great time to just be flat out unable to play your games. eyeroll
Im having the same issue this happened just recently right after reset on dec 17th. The error code that i found is
C:\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent\BlizzardError.exe
it wouldnt auto update, so i deleted the app and tried to re’install, now i cant even get the blizzard app to download. its stuck at 45% and ive been trying everything for 2 days.
Please help i’ve tried everything i can possibly think of… if anybody finds a fix, please help.
soooo. My ISP ended up doing an update to there routers that didnt auto update. i called them and asked for a new router and they updated it. battlenet instantly installed… … … . . . . . .
but the steps online will also help to re install/erase any bnet info. and restart the download.
call your Isp first. this was a new issue for them. it took 4 days for them to figure it out
