More compact chat text

Can I please have a more compact text/font size option in the friends chat window? I dont want all my messages to be surrounded by chat bubbles like I’m texting on a phone. The old interface was able to display nearly twice as much text in the same sized window.

Would greatly appreciate if there were some options to customize this for those of us who aren’t mobile-first/tablet users.

A bump to this feedback.

The chat bubble style is very unnecessary and reduces the overall effectiveness of the chats and groups section.
This feels much more like something you would find on Facebook Messenger rather than a game service; the previous style of streamlined chat should have been retained. Please review.
