Modern warfare taking forever to install

I have recently purchased COD:MW and let it download overnight and to my surprise it had only been downloading at 300kb/s while on other apps such as steam download much faster than that. All morning I have tried everything that has been posted on forums and youtube, such as disabling firewalls etc. Please can someone help

Battlenet has always had abnormally low download times. Im currently attempting to download Modern Warfare and am only getting 2mb/s maximum while connected via ethernet to 1Gb internet speed. Speed test showing roughly 650-780mb/s via ethernet, yet the program Battlenet runs for downloads is severely cheap stuff. Wether it was Destiny 2, Overwatch, and now MW, I have yet to get a download speed over 2.50mb/s. So good luck to you, and hopefully Blizzard put more money into their download softwares or else they’ll lose more games just like they lost D2.

Jesus you mean this is normal … in 2019 ??? wow I guess they just take your money at the gate and clock out… the total lack of follow through starts instantly.

SAME HERE !!! God do something blizzard…

I cannot even get the Battlenet app to install to my desktop. At least I don’t think it is. It may be so slow that the installer takes longer than 5 hours to move the progress bar a perceptible amount.

Look in your programfile for premieropion and delete it i do that now i got 50mbs not stop !

Same here, day two of constantly trying to download. At this rate I would have chosen a different way of getting the product purchased. Can i get my money back?!

New conspiracy theory: Someone is trying to short Blizzard stock and so they are actively trying to destroy the company. Keeping people from playing one of the biggest games of the year on PC is all part of the plan :face_with_monocle:
You know if I had actually paid for COD MW, I would be really upset. Luckily it was free with my 2070 Super. There should be some other way to launch the game. Either through Geforce Experience or XBox Game Pass. Something to compensate people who paid for the game. But until they actually let us send in customer support tickets, I don’t see anything getting resolved.

I don’t know how old this thread is, I thought battlenet was just terrible when it came to downloading and installing games. What you have to do though is adjust your download limits.
I just went in and put a string of nines " 9999999999 " to get it to go as fast as it’ll go. I can install call of duty on an HDD in an hour.
