Same, it’s Telia for me too.
Tried reaching out to them multiple times. No response.
I get the error every two hours on the dot… anybody else get it the same time and have a solution? I thought I saw something about changing Upnp settings but not 100% sure
What update? The battlenet server maintenance or is there a Cold War update?
137.221.105.169 us.actual.battle.net
It is very unstable, it disconnects me every 15-20 minutes.
Wtf does this mean and i will post the results…?
it just HAPPENED TO ME AGAIN.
FIX THE DAMN GAME
Asus Wireless Router RT-AC3200
freaking game keeps me disconnecting.
Please fix the game guys
tried all 3 in the host files, still can’t finish a game without disconnecting!!! 6 weeks this game has been out. It’s a joke…
Make sure you have battlenet client completely closed close anything related to blizzard or battlenet through your task manager in the processes tab, also while in task manager under the details tab at the top right next to services, make sure you don’t see (agent.exe) running if you do right click and end task. For the address in host file, make sure it isn’t on a line with # then restart your computer and try it. The host File should look something like…
# Copyright © 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a ‘#’ symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme. com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme. com # x client host
# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
137.221.105.169 us.actual. battle.net
(The above line in my host file is what you will add although mine has a space between actual. and battle do to us not being able to post/attach links in forums)
~The only thing I changed above was adding -137.221.105.169 us.actual. battle.net- to this file. Make sure there is an empty line between the [# ::1 localhost] and which ever -us.actual. battle.net- address you decide to use and test out. I have copied and pasted above a public sample host file you can find on google as mine may look different than yours or others on here, it is just a baseline to go off of for your host file. Also make sure to copy all the addresses that were provided from the original Customer Support Agent that provided them, you, others, and I do not have permission to attach links in this forum, so many of us will apply spaces between the periods and words in links as I have in the above sentences. I hope what I have said is/or was any help to you, and/or cleared up any confusion you may have ran into or had.~
~Wishing You the Best of Luck~
Hey!
Are you telling me that I should add the -us.actual. battle.net- without -#- in the host file? Please tell me which is the correct way:
137.221.105.169 us.actual. battle.net
# 137.221.105.169 us.actual. battle.net
137.221.105.169 us.actual. battle.net (minus the spaces in the hostname)
all you need is the IP followed by the hostname
Is there any fix for European servers?
I played on 158.115.216.76 for a around 3 hours last night with no issues except the packet loss image showing.
which one did you used?
I used the 137.221.105.169 but it went wrong, still suffering with the F8 error
I hope Blizz will make this also for us if this solution will work for US players.
I used it in the wrong way, that’s because it didint worked. I fixed it and no disconnects in 2 hours.
Hi everyone,
We’ve been seeing some positive results from our testing, both in feedback from all of you as well as from our server telemetry.
We’ve deployed one of the mitigations from the test servers to all of the US servers, so at this point we’d like to ask everyone who plays on the US region to remove any hosts file entries and play against the main servers.
To remove the hosts file entries, please open the Hosts file on Notepad once more and remove only the extra line that was added. Do not edit further to avoid other problems.
If all goes well, we are planning on applying the same fix to the EU servers tonight as well. Thanks again for all your efforts in helping us track down this issue.
