Long loading screen and then error once ingame

Error: diablo iv was unable to retrieve necessary data.Please check your network connection.

Everything was working perfectly for the last days/weeks and even today and now suddenly i get this error. I didn’t change anything so no idea what it might be.

  • I checked the files and no errors found.
  • Rebooted the pc but still same problem.
  • Antivirus is not changed or giving problems.
  • No windows update.
  • No graphic driver update.
  • Netwerk connection is fine 800Mbs and stable.
  • I tried diablo 3 and it also takes a LOT longer than before to connect but at least it still works.

The weird thing in D4 is that it now takes a lot longer before i see the character screen and once i select one it also takes longer to start. Then the game starts but after like 5 sec i get this error and it crashes.

A week ago I had the problem that suddenly Battle.net did not see any of ;y games any;ore and it looked like it had to download all the games again.
I then searched for it and when i selected the folder the battle.net started to update the games and after that everything worked fine.

So it is weird that it happend but I had no problems after that so it is strange that now 1-2 weeks later i gt this error.

Uninstalling battle.net and installing it on another location did not solve the problem either

Well as the other games load slower too and that the launcher had to reinstall the games a week or 2 ago it might as well be problem of Battle.net
How can I know :confused:

Once the launcher launches a particular game, that’s where its involvement ends. So if a game is loading slowly, it is something besides the laucher.

If all are games loading slowly, there are a multitude of possibilities as to why, not just Battlenet. You may need to troubleshoot your system and networking.
