Will Battlenet ever create a linux compatible version?

I myself, am moving from a windows 8.1 OS to a linux OS due to the political issues of Microsoft. Since I cannot support Microsoft and am moving on from that. I have always enjoyed playing games on Battlenet. And I’m afraid I will no longer be able to enjoy them. The Linux community has been growing and I am going to support that. I hope the powers to be will see the value in the linux community and choose to join that market.

I’d love to see an official Linux client myself, but it seems increasingly unlikely given the fact that Microsoft intends to buy Activision Blizzard in the near future. Add on the fact that Microsoft has always had an adversarial stance toward Linux until very recently (and even that’s only changed in their cloud computing/developer tooling business), I won’t be holding my breath unfortunately.
