Linux: Battle Net keeps trying to wake up the Agent

If this will not be solved by the company ASAP then I guess our family quits wow classic for good. Not going back to Windows even if Microsoft or Blizzard would pay us to do so. RIP wow classic. RIP Windows. Thanks no thanks to anyone involved for not caring for the Linux customers.

I am also getting the BLZBNTBNA00000005 error on Linux.
The suggested fixes require a re-install which is somewhat complex.

I booted windows to see if the same error occurs. it does. That install is quite old so not a perfect test.

This feels like a season 8 patch problem.

Running Battle.net using CrossOver on a Mac M1. A few hours ago I got the error that it was crashed, so I rebooted my computer. Then I got an error with the same error code, but it said Battle.net was sleeping and trying to wake up. It never woke up, so I deleted the entire bottle, which uninstalled Battle.net and Diablo II Resurrected. I reinstalled Battle.net successfully, but I’m getting the same error. And I see here that it’s not just me. Are efforts underway to fix this?

I switched to proton hotfix and the game is updating

Check for any pending proton downloads and do them if they exist.

Right click the game and then click Compatibility, force a specific version, pick Proton Hotfix

Might work with any newer version of proton

FYI - there’s no official Blizz people who check this.

Also - try Proton 10. That works for several people, myself included.

just stop application, remove …/drive_c/ProgramData/Battle.net/Agent/Agent.9124, rerun application.
won’t work if is is a fresh install (no old agent directory).
