Launcher displaying news from wrong region

Hey there!

I’m an EU player and i’ve noticed that i get news from a region not close to me.

I’m a Dutch player so in-game i would usually connect to AMS servers.
Though recent activity has shown that many users from the EU get redirected from their closest servers to Middle East servers.

I think what happend here with the launcher that it has failed to locate the nearest server thus detecting ME servers.
And redirecting me to the ME news.
Normally i’d get English news but it seems to be Thai as of this moment.

I have not changed any settings and my launcher language is still the same.

I had a similar problem today (June 29, around 0915 EST), specifically with Diablo - the news frames appeared to be from the Middle East. My region (US) had not been changed and there were no issues on any other application in the launcher. I checked back several hours later and the problem was gone.
