For a while now, Battle.net has been signing me out of the App to where I have to re-enter my password each time I open up the client. It hasn’t done it before but now it’s happening almost every time. I have keep me signed in check marked but it’s still requiring me to enter my password.
There’s a couple reasons it may not keep your password and prompt for it each time the Battle.net Application starts. If you’re set to “appear offline” when logged in, this can help:
Launch the Battle.net App
Click on the Settings icon in the login screen
Select Use Last Status
If that doesn’t help or explain this, then clearing out some files for the Battle.net Application can usually fix this. This is very thorough as we’ll be reinstalling the desktop app along with removing all files it uses.
You will need to log in once and also locate your games again but it should make it so you’ll automatically log in without inputting a password each time.
Same issue here. I have yet to find an issue as to why. I never put my pc to sleep. I have no issues with connecting after I enter my password for the duration of when I am on the pc. but the app will ask for login and do the security window “pass” after restarting the pc.
Hi Ironthorne. That does nothing for the issue with Battle.net logging us out when the computer goes to sleep. This isn’t when people start Battle.net, because it’s still open in the tray. Unfortunately, your post is off topic.
It’s been going on a while now, and it’s frustrating to see no direct responses from support acknowledging the issue.
I’ve had this issue for for 2 weeks. About 5-6 time a day I get logged out of the Battlenet app and it completely forgets my login info. Each time this occurs, I have to login, I’m prompted to lookup the code in the ‘Blizzard Authenticator’ which Blizzard conveniently deprecated and no longer functions, so I have to reach out to support to get a code to be able to login.
I’ve uninstalled, cleaned up all files, and re0mstalled the app a few times now and it still has the same behavior. This makes all Blizzard games totally unplayable.
To add insult, you’re not allowed to post a new issue if there’s a ‘similar issue’ like this one that’s unresolved by Blizzard.
Blizzard moved the authenticator function into the Bnet mobile app. They’ve been advertising the move and emailing users about it for months. Using the Bnet app, the authentication process is working as expected compared to the old one.
Thanks, that still doesn’t resolve the getting logged out and forgetting login info 5-6 times a day. The games are still unplayable, and the only resolve from Blizzard is to uninstall, remove files and re-install every day is not a solution.
Battle.net App on Windows 11 keeps logging me out…
For the last month or so Battle.net App on Windows 11 keeps logging me out. I log back in and it I stay logged in for a while. Often it happens when my machine wakes back up. This did not happen before when the machine went to sleep. It may not be related to the sleep, just putting that out there.
I’ve rebooted.
Running Win11
Running Battle.net app v2.27.0.14542
Battle.net settings are set to:
We have seen this reported before and while it is being looked into, the solution is to uncheck keep me logged in. Manually type in your email/password. Login normally, then restart the app and recheck keep me logged in. That should fix the issue for you. Outside of that, feel free to add a bug report in the bug report forums to aid in the investigation.
Thanks for your response. I’ve had this issue for 2 months and after my post it has not been a problem, coincidence? I did not perform your workaround. If it reoccurs I’ll try your workaround. Thanks for the suggestion.
