Please for the love of the gods give us a launcher skin option so we can avoid this advertisement filled nonsense. I just want to play the game.
Maybe add options so we can fully customize the layout ourselves or something, because i hate this version. Sorry for the negative attitude for all the folks that put work into it⊠but the previous version seemed far better.
That was full of ads too though. I found that if you grab the sides of the Launcher and shrink it down to a smaller windows size then it only shows the info for the game you have selected (play button and such), ONE News article or ad, and your friends list.
Maybe that view would be preferable as it avoids all the clutter - and even shows less clutter than the previous version? Just donât use it in full screen mode.

Grrr. I had not tried it myself. In that case I suggest doing what Boubou said.
SOME of the games donât allow it though - they require the Launcher in order to pass the game authentication credentials to the Auth server for login.
There are lots of things in the Launcher people are not really aware of, and some stuff that has moved lately. I was going to make a quick FAQ guide thingy - but now maybe I will hold off. It seems I need to do a bit more verification before I post something green that pretends to know what I am doing!
Old Blizzard games had their own individual Launchers. Those still sort of exist for the older games. New games are totally dependent on the Bnet Launcher App - is my understanding. They donât have a stand alone launcher at all.
Of course I agree. There is a price though

I agree, latest update will not download and loops back to scan. meanwhile I am deprived of playing my game, really sucks to not have a game disc to uninstall and fresh install tried everything else including contacting support without any reply.
Argh. Both MS Word and the forums auto number stuff which is a pain the the something!
What Iâm doing is:
Reduce the size of the launcher to the smallest you can.
Make it auto-start minimize with windows.
Make WoW to automatically minimize launcher on game start.
Disable all notifications if you donât want this.
Create WoW shortcut from launcher to your desktop.
Click your shortcut, start the game, you wonât see more than 1 ad if you are lucky the ad wonât load cause the app is too slow lol.
Can you put an option in to use the legacy client? Riot games did it, surely Blizzard can too. Not feeling this new one sorry.

It might have an impact if enough of us gave Blizzard direct feedback through the option to do so in the desktop app itself. In the forums, itâs a bit like blowing in the wind.
This interface is a piece of garbage. An ugly garbage nontheless.
I find no problems with the launcher. My wife is not even close to being a computer player she is more an Ipad user and she can figure out the new Launcher.
It isnât about using it, it is about the unwanted features and how it is uncustomizable ( like advertising games unrelated to the game page you have open, the forced to stay open friends tab that is undockable, the layout in general is haphazard at best, heck to see what the current season of d3 is all about I had to scroll needlessly past cod adverts but up top atleast they advertised d2 remake up top)
Tbh they should have a âuse old layout optionâ, this same crud is why I only open steam to auto update my games and just use shortcuts to start my games, it smacks of Activision greed forcing blizzard to make changes no one wants, y do you think destiny pulled out of the Activision riddled blizzard Corp?

It is very clear that a narrative of ads are being pushed. Once you click to d2, sc2, or whatever you will see ads and posts from other games. Nobody likes the idea of being pushed things down your throat
Besides its a poor decision from a design POV to âjustâ reduce" the size of the browser by dragging on the corners of it, just to minimize the size and amount of adds. You could as well just close your left eye and then just say âyou see less nowâ lol, smh

Its a poor attempt of ânew thinkingâ UI / launcher. Its a poor rip of RIOT with a mix of steam in it. Like many things in life, less is more. Here we have too much in too little space, and on top of that you give people no customization, which is mind-blowing giving what a big company Blizz is, and its the year 2021.
Like many people have pointed out, you cant detect the friends list from the browser, which makes me wonder if you have critical thinking people behind the project. Im stunned by the lack of creative and lack lust work effort. I am blaming whoever is calling the shots.
Its literally made me rethink, if I wanna keep supporting blizz, which has been my go to company for years.
