Instead of have a blue button that says “play Game”, and the cog to do a scan and repair, I now have a blue button that says “Install.” I have put in several customer support "bug report"s and the only thing that has happened is a line appeared under “Install” it now says: Already installed? Locate the game…
I can load the game if I bypass battle.net and it plays fine. I joke about this during raids saying my dps is gonna be crap because I have not installed the game but it is truly annoying.
Another thing I have noticed is that when I am entering a Raid Finder group it sends me to the character creation page for a hot second and then loads me into the dungeon
Silly question, but did you do that? Sometimes the launcher “forgets” where your installed game files are. You just need to point the launcher back to those files. The locate game function can do it for you most of the time, or you can specify where you have the game using the settings menus.
Not doing that, can eventually result in you not getting patches and the game not being updated correctly by the launcher. So you want to fix that.
Worst case you would clear the Bnet Cache or even uninstall the launcher and re-install it.

I’ve just had this exact issue and can’t locate anything so I’m having to reinstall the game from scratch.
