I'm Done with Diablo 4

I’ve played Diablo since Day One, and I’m just tired of my Eternal Realm char being effed with. I play ER because the Seasons model has no appeal for me at all–why would I invest time in building and refining a char just to have to start over every few months? …dumb. But this latest insult is just too much. Season 11 is like a different game, which is fine, except that I never bought this game. You took my Diablo and replaced it with something I didn’t choose, never expressed a preference for, didn’t buy. …you stole my game. Goodbye.

I share your frustration, but maybe just take a break and revisit in a few weeks?

I know this season especially was a complete gutting of the Eternal players. But I’ve found that my, now Legacy gear, still works even though it’s not as good as it was.

So I ran some of the Boss Lairs to restock on some uniques, and then I crunched some numbers on some random Legendary and Ancestral drops from some Nightmare dungeons and I found that I actually got some better “fits” than I had before.

I dont like the new Tempering, sure its great to get to “choose” your affix, but now they’ve added a bunch more and they’ve taken away the ability to have 2 affixes which seems stupid.

But the Legendaries and Ancestrals have 4 stats rather than 3, so all they’ve really done is moved the RNG to a different portion of the game. One with even less control than you had when you could at least choose from a small pool at the blacksmith. It DOES give some of the new gear a chance to actually come with very good combinations of stats though so that seems a wash for me.

I’m an Eternal player as well, though I dabble in the Seasonal, and I hate when they completely gut what is supposed to be a “permanent” realm, but with mechanics changes this big I understand why they have to adapt the Eternal realms as well unfortunately.

It’s bad, absolutely, but not insurmountable.
