I can not reinstall the battle.net app

At first when i had it download the client said it was sleeping or something like that and i couldn´t open any game (I own all cods and some other games). I tried fixing it before uninstalling the client but nothing worked. Then when i try to reinstall it freezes halfway and says it can not install the client. I tried everything, even some ip commands but nothing seems to affect it. This is the error code it supplies after its “updating” for 5 minutes without progress: BLZBNTBTS0000005C. The webpage it sends me to provided absolutely no help. Im kinda desperate at this point. I need help ASAP please, thank you.

same issue its so annoying…

I’m having the exact same issue, tried uninstalling, when i press uninstall, it just gives me a BLZBNTBNU00000003 code. I tried deleting the folder and that doesn’t work either.

Windows

  1. Close Blizzard processes.
  2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to bring up the Task Manager.
  3. Click the Processes tab.
  4. Select all Agent, Blizzard, and game processes, and click End Process.
  5. Navigate to the folder containing the Battle.net directory:
  6. Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialogue.
  7. Type *C:\ProgramData* into the Open field and press Enter:
  8. Delete the Battle.net folder.
  9. Run the Blizzard Battle.net desktop app and update the game to see if the issue persists.

If the error persists after you try these steps, another program may be causing the problem. Restart your computer and delete the Battle.net folder one more time.

Note: The above steps may cause the application to forget game install locations. If your games can’t be found, you will see Install on the game tab instead of Play. To find your installation, click Locate this game or run the game launcher.

TRY THIS WORKED FOR ME++++

Same issue here… I’ve tried killing everything off in task manager, deleting and uninstalling might work, but I get an error message when I try to uninstall Battle.net saying I have to update it before I can uninstall it (which is hilarious, since the "Update Agent is asleep). I then decided to delete the folder containing Battle.net and reinstalling. It stops and gives the same message in the middle of the attempted reinstallation. Hopeflly Blizzard is aware of this and working on a fix.

@Gimly,

Hi,

Did you also delete the Battle.Net folder in ProgramData… Step #5 in:

Cheers !
